609  Business and Personal Finance - Students learn why wise financial management is important to personal and business success. Hands-on activities designed to prepare students to establish a budget, manage a bank account,complete federal and state tax returns, and understand insurance coverage are a sampling of topics presented. Offered to 11th and 12th grade students.  1 credit

611   CP Accounting I     *CCP Course - The initial recording of transactions to the preparation and analysis of financial statements enables students to understand the basic accounting principles and procedures. Offered to 11th and 12th grade students.  1 credit    Completion of Accounting I and II can receive college credit through QVCC.          

612   CP Accounting II    *CCP Course    Prerequisite:  Successful completion of CP ACCT I - This course focuses on the application of accounting principles and procedures that improve students’ analytical and critical thinking skills. The integration of automated accounting and Microsoft Excel provide students with an understanding of effective accounting practices.  Offered to 11th and 12th grade students.  1 credit   Completion of Accounting I and II can receive college credit through QVCC.                                      

613   Microsoft Office I   *CCP Course - This course prepares students for the use of industry standard computer applications utilizing the functions and features of Microsoft Word and Excel. Offered to all grades. .5 credit   Completion of Microsoft Office I and II can receive college credit through QVCC.          

614   Microsoft Office II  *CCP Course    Prerequisite:  Successful completion of MS Office I -  Students expand their knowledge of the Microsoft Office software system utilizing the functions and features of Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Offered to all grades. .5 credit    Completion of Microsoft Office I and II can receive college credit through QVCC. 

633  CP Business Law / Economics - Economics shares a semester with Business Law to present relevant decision-making problems in a competitive global economy. Business Law provides information on the effects that law has on our daily lives. Students participate in the Stock Market Game and complete real world case studies to increase their  understanding of both topics. Offered to 11th and 12th grade students.   1 credit

636  CP Marketing - Students learn about market analysis and  segmentation, types of consumers, promotion, buying, pricing, selling, distribution, and trends in modern marketing. Offered to 11th and 12th grade students.  1 credit                              

637   Partnerships for Career Exploration - Career and education exploration prepares students to develop personal plans for achieving post high school goals.  Students will establish career aspirations through coursework, job shadowing, the development of career and education portfolios, and mock interviewing.   Offered to 11th and 12th grade students.  .5 credit      

638  Innovative Software Exploration - This course will allow students to explore new innovative websites that will develop student skills in researching, presentations, timelines, cloud-based storage, electronic correspondence, portfolios, and other emerging technology. Students will develop essential Century 21st skills for recognizing types of media/technology to use for various projects in their education and future careers. This will help enhance students’ employability in a diverse workplace.  Students will work on the school website and learn the skills needed to create web design updates and conduct meetings. This course is offered to 10th, 11th and 12th graders.  1 credit
